Hokies a National Championship Home Team
With Virginia Tech kissing their National Championship hopes goodbye with a 28-23 loss to Georgia Tech 11 days ago, they also put their ACC Championship hopes in the Yellow Jackets' hands. Georgia Tech must lose games against Wake Forest (4-4) and Duke (4-3) and the Hokies must win their remaining games against North Carolina, N.C. State, Maryland, and Virginia.
Beating North Carolina tomorrow night will not be a problem. Most fans saw (and enjoyed) the thrashing of Boston College at home a few weeks ago. Saying that the Hokies embarrassed the Eagles is quite an understatement. That same Boston College team came back and played Notre Dame to the wire the following week. Virginia Tech is a whole different team when playing outside of Blacksburg. That's their problem. I.E. Alabama and Georgia Tech. They're a National Championship Home Team.
